Where do we go from here?

It's frustrating I feel that given the amount of people in the U.K. who are opposed to the war in Iraq, and the amount of people who have been on demonstrations, with London seeing it's biggest ever, That Labour sought to go to war anyway. Does this meen that our demonstrations are ignored, our letters to our MP's are ingnored? the fact that the majority are against this war is ignored? There is understandably mounting concern of an American led war on Iran, at first I heard that the Labour government were not going to support the U.S. in this. I thought maybe this was a triumph for the Stop The War Coalition, but now I read on Indymedia that plans are already underway. (  http://www4.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/04/337444.html)

So, dihearteningly, all we have done till now seems to have had little effect. Sorry if I sound like a pessimist, I assure you I am not, I was involved in the Poll Tax actions in 90's, and have great faith in the power of people to break a governments naff agenda.

So how do we STOP labour, or who ever is in power from attcking Iran? personally I am quite inspired by what is happening in France at present against the introduction of the CPE, with the 100;s of daily occupations, and road/railway blockades, and of course strikes. Maybe we should be taking this road.

What do you think?
